David specialises in gender, sexual and reproductive health, and social inclusion. Before his work as a consultant, his thematic experience primarily focused on Media and Communications for Development, encompassing areas such as media landscape, audience measurement, product testing, human-centred design, evaluation, and behaviour change. In more recent years, David has held led and technical advisory roles in impact evaluation design and delivery across various health and social development programmes using experimental and quasi-experimental methodologies.
While David specialises in quantitative methods, he is also proficient in mixed methods research, utilising qualitative approaches for formative, monitoring, and evaluative purposes. Building on experience gained from research director roles at Girl Effect and BBC Media Action, David enjoys working collaboratively with clients and has supported the development of numerous M&E systems and comprehensive organisational research strategies.
David excels in translating data and evidence into actionable insights to support learning. In doing so, he leverages his data analysis, visualisation, and communication skills to deliver precise and targeted insights into complex health and social issues. He holds a Masters of Science in Epidemiology, and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.
