Federica is a Women’s Economic Empowerment specialist, with over ten years’ experience working on gender equality and social inclusion within the development sector. She has collaborated with public and private sector clients in research, evaluation and programme advisory roles. 

Federica is a passionate advocate for gender justice within local and global markets. She has a deep knowledge and experience of gender and inclusion issues in trade and supply chains, and applies this to her policy and programme work with private and public sector actors. She has supported a wide range of programmes and organisations working on areas such as women in the informal economy, gender in international trade, impact investment and women’s entrepreneurship across East Africa and South Asia. In addition to her work on women’s and girls’ economic empowerment, Federica has considerable experience in carrying out gender-focused qualitative research, reviews and evaluations, and providing support to strategy development and implementation in the areas of girls’ education, violence against women and girls, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. 

Federica has a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Research Methods from the University of Sussex in the UK, a Masters in International Protection of Human Rights from the Universita’ la Sapienza in Italy, and a Masters in European Business from ESCP Europe in France.
