Grand Challenges Canada
One of the largest impact-first investors in Canada, Grand Challenges Canada is dedicated to supporting Bold Ideas with Big Impact®. Funded by the Government of Canada and other partners, Grand Challenges Canada funds innovators in low- and middle-income countries and Canada. The bold ideas Grand Challenges Canada supports integrate science and technology, social and business innovation – known as Integrated Innovation®.
Kore Global is working with Grand Challenges Canada’s (GCC) on two contracts:
1) to provide monitoring and evaluation support to their innovations across their global health portfolio, and
2) to provide gender and inclusion support to GCC and their innovators across their Health, Humanitarian and Indigenous innovation portfolios.
The variety of venture types (non-profits, companies and social enterprises in different phases of growth) means that they require bespoke, flexible, and timely support to meet the needs of individual innovators while satisfying the gender commitments and results reporting demands of GCC.
Kore Global’s team of results-driven M&E and GESI Venture Advisors are developing “right sized” approaches that meet GCC and their innovators needs, helping ventures to develop fit-for-purpose gender strategies, logic models and craft indicators for different results in order to systematically capture and communicate complex and long-term change with a particular focus on gender equality. We are also helping innovators to better understand how social impact innovators can address violence against women and girls which you can read more about in our blog.
