Right To Play: Global Gender Training and Capacity Building Digital Resource

Gender Equality is a key pillar of Right To Play’s work, underlining the organizational belief that meaningful engagement of girls and boys in decision making is essential to the empowerment, education, and safety of children around the world. In order to strengthen this pillar, Right To Play engaged Kore Global to develop a digital gender equality training and capacity building resources for use by Right To Play staff across the globe. The complete training package included an online video, interactive learning techniques, and printable resources for staff use.

Kore Global employed a collaborative approach and applied adult-based learning principles to design and deliver a global gender equality training and capacity building resource that is:

  • Being used to establish a base level of knowledge for all staff and develop a common understanding of gender equality and its intersections with Right To Play work.

  • Relevant and applicable to all levels/roles of the organization, from the programs team to the implementation support team.

  • Supporting staff attitudinal shifts and internalization of gender norms and values that align with gender equality.

  • Highly engaging and interactive, living up to the ethos of the power of play.

  • Maintaining Right To Play’s rights-based focus and child-centred approach.
